I hope that you’ll indulge me today as I go off topic a bit. Well, the topic is related.
I’ve opened an online shop that features my original, expressive acrylic paintings paired with beautiful, inspirational sayings and quotations.
Here’s the story of my new venture:
I’ve been a graphic designer for most of my professional life. Most recently, as you may have read here in my blog, I’ve begun to embrace my evolving call to be a gentle prophet, bringing others to an awareness of the divine with my writing. As you probably already know, I am passionate about grace.
My passion for expressing myself in my blog has been fueled by a love and appreciation of inspirational spiritual writing by great spiritual authors and thinkers. I’ve found myself drawn to certain sayings, quotations, and scripture passages. At times, I’d want to hold onto them for a day, or a week, or longer.
What began as an attempt to make these sayings visually pleasing to me in my own life has evolved. First, I wanted to express the words in a beautifully visual way, and I’d use my graphic design sensibility to design and print the words with my laptop and printer. I’d print several copies and post them in different places around my home. Recently, I’ve felt a growing need to accompany those words with visual expression, in the form of abstract acrylic painting.
The combination of the two – beautiful, life-giving words, with abstract expression – is what you’ll find in my shop.
The paintings are my own. The saying are words that have inspired me personally. It is my hope that my pieces speak to your soul.
In the coming weeks I hope to add new sayings and quotes. Next week, I’m going to be adding some pieces created for the Christmas season.

Becky- Well said! I have always cherished my time in the car with my children. I rarely car pooled for the very reasons you wrote about.
Thank you! And Happy Driving!
